Jennifer Palmieri has more than two decades of experience as a political and communications strategist, working in the highest levels of government. She served as White House communications director under President Barack Obama and was head of communications for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. She was also White House deputy press secretary for President Bill Clinton, national press secretary for the Democratic Party, and national press secretary for the 2004 John Edwards for President campaign. She is the author of the number 1 New York Times bestselling book “Dear Madam President” and “She Proclaims: Our Declaration of Independence from a Man’s World.” Jennifer also co-hosts the podcast “How to Win 2024”, is a contributing editor to Vanity Fair, and former co-host of the political documentary series “The Circus” on Showtime. She is currently a Senior Advisor at Emerson Collective.

The problem is trust and with disinformation and just the internet it’s so easy for people to bind to disinformation, which is really bad for democracy. The problem for democracy is that authoritarian leaders want you to believe that nothing matters and think that you can’t trust institutions.
