Borough Director, Bronx Neighborhood Library Networks, NYPL

Kathleen Carrasco, Borough Director for the Bronx Neighborhood Libraries at the New York Public Library, oversees strategic development and operations of 35 Bronx libraries and the Bronx Bookmobile. Dedicated to addressing community needs through literacy, innovative services, and diverse programming, Kathleen began her Library career as a page in 2002, advancing to various branch positions before assuming her current role in 2021. Recognized on City & State's Bronx Power 100 List in 2023, Kathleen holds a BBA in International Business from Berkeley College and an MLS in Public Librarianship from CUNY Queens College. She actively advocates for libraries through membership in NYLA and ALA.
